Smorgasburg is the new Brooklyn Flea food market in Williamsburg. I went there today with a group of friends…great place to hangout on a sunny day! You also get a nice view of Manhattan across the East River. Wish they had a lot more trees in the neighborhood though. It’s a little bit of a concrete jungle all around. Needless to say, the food was pretty good, people were dressed in their usual Brooklyn-chic outfits and almost every stall was beautifully designed. On the whole, a good time was had by all and sundry!
Open on: Saturdays (9 a.m. – 5 p.m.)
Nearest subway stop: Bedford Ave on the L train
Must try: Pink Guava slushy with “Arnold Palmer” (1/2 tea + 1/2 citrus slush) by Kelvin Natural Slush Co.
