it was nice

New York is a city meant for walking. Even on a day like today. And especially on a day like today.

I know most people hate rainy days with dark, gray skies. I am sure if this was the default weather, I would too. But an occasional wet and cloudy day is more than welcome in my opinion. During winter, they are often warmer than bright, sunny days and their coziness factor (a scientific term) is at least ten-fold.

In an ideal world, I would have spent today at home, reading a book, drinking coffee and making soup. But in the real world, I spent it in an underground library, staring at a computer screen, watching code run (not run, actually). So, the evening had to be rescued and I decided to go for a walk.

I think a walk is the perfect solution to almost any question. Of course, it’s nicer if it involves eating Palmier cookies from Silver Moon bakery,

…holiday lighting (I am not complaining, but it’s almost FEBRUARY!),

and the mouth-watering aroma of a Korilla bbq truck.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
